ZAYAC — a party game

Who’s faking it?

Every player knows the secret word. Everyone except one. Say associations, catch the Hare, and don’t give the word away too soon.

How a round works

ZAYAC is a table game. People sit together and talk out loud. There is no in-app chat: phones are only for joining, roles, the word list, and voting.

  1. 01

    The creator starts a game

One player opens the app and creates a game. They host the room — they don’t deal physical cards.

  2. 02

Everyone else joins with a QR code

Friends scan the QR or type a short code. An invite link works too.

  3. 03

Each phone shows a theme and a word list

You see a theme — for example, “Animals” — and a grid of words. A set has 16 words.

  4. 04

Everyone except the Hare knows the secret word

One player does not get the word highlighted. They see the same theme and all the words, but not which one is secret.

  5. 05

    Players say associations out loud

Take turns with short associations. Regular players must show they know the word without handing it to the Hare.

  6. 06

    The group votes

After discussion, everyone picks who the Hare is on their phone. A tie triggers a revote.

  7. 07

If the Hare is found, they try to guess the word

The Hare picks a word from the list. That choice decides who scores the round.

Why it works for a group

No cards, no dedicated host

You don’t print a deck or read a sheet of rules. The app deals roles privately.

Built for friends at a table

The game lives in talk, laughter, and suspicion — not in a chat thread.

Fast QR join

Sit down, scan, start. The code on the host screen works as well.

AI-made word sets in a library

Sets are created with AI and stored in a library. A new generation runs when a given game has used up available sets — not every round.

Themes don’t run out forever

If the library for the game language is exhausted, the app creates a new set.

Ukrainian, Russian, and English

The room language is chosen in the lobby. The site and the app use the same languages.

A private role on each phone

Nobody peeks at anyone else’s cards: each player sees only their screen.

Parties, trips, family nights

From three to twelve people. It fits a night at home, a trip, or a family gathering.

The phone is not the conversation

The real game happens between people. You watch faces, catch tone, and try to spot the bluff. The app only keeps the secret: who the Hare is, which word is hidden, and who voted for whom.

Where themes and words come from

ZAYAC does not invent a brand-new set every round on the fly. It first uses ready sets from a library prepared with AI. Only if that game has used up sets for the chosen language does it create a new one. Themes stay varied without making every round wait on generation.

Quick answers

What is ZAYAC?

ZAYAC is a mobile social party game by DigitalTouch. Everyone except one player knows the secret word. The one who doesn’t is the Hare. The group says associations out loud, votes, and tries to catch them.

How many people can play?

From 3 to 12 players. Each person needs their own phone with the app.

Do you need a host?

You don’t need a dedicated host with a printed rulebook. One player creates the room and starts phases, but the app deals roles and words.

Is registration required?

Yes. Sign in with Apple or Google and set a display name if needed. There is no separate email sign-up.

Do we need to be in the same place?

Yes. The game is designed for one room: associations are spoken out loud, and there is no in-app chat.

Can we play remotely?

ZAYAC does not replace a voice chat and is not meant for video calls. If the group is not sitting together, the round loses its point: you miss live reactions and shared-space associations.
